Strategy

There are so many unjust laws and regulations in this country that it would be difficult to make an impact if all of them were addressed at one time. For this reason we are targeting specific issues one at a time and uniting Americans to stand against them; making a strong statement and creating change. Change is possible if we stand together and demand it from our legislators.

Current Issue

Most Americans have been affected by drunk driving laws, either directly or indirectly. This is our current agenda for change - decriminalize drunk driving offenses that do not involve property damage or injury, this is a traffic violation and should be treated as such.

Drunk Driving Laws

A new era of prohibition is taking place in our country through extreme legislation and harsh punishment for drunk driving offenses. The data used to push this legislation forward is severely flawed and has been twisted to support a neo-prohibitionist movement in our country.  Most states have passed legislation that criminalizes drunk drivers and requires them to spend time in jail. This happens whether or not there is an accident or property damage involved, in some cases they are victims of distracted drivers or are not driving at all. Yes, that's right you don't have to be driving in some states as long as you are in a motor vehicle with keys or the ability to start the car they can arrest you for drunk driving. The states range from a .05 - .08 Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) level in order to prosecute. This can equate to a glass of wine with dinner at a restaurant or an after dinner cocktail. More
